I love helping others Make the Leap because it is a journey I have been on myself!
In the late 1990s I sensed that corporate life was not for me, but I did not know what else I could do. I went to a career counselor, and it was a truly life changing experience. With her help, I plotted a course that led me to ultimately leave my corporate job and go to graduate school to become a clinical psychologist. I started graduate school at age 35 with my first child less than a year old. I am living proof that it is never too late to make the leap. While the graduate school journey wasn’t always easy, it was worth it every step of the way, as I grew into a career that has let me use my natural talents to help thousands of others unleash their own unique abilities and live their best lives.
My next big leap came in 2013 when I began the process of leaving the security of my job at a VA medical center and started a part-time private practice. This grew to become my full-time practice, and ultimately a group practice now serving hundreds of people per week and thousands each year.
And it hasn’t all been work! Making the leap has given me more time to do the things I enjoy. My family is my biggest priority and the source of my greatest joys in life.
I enjoy music, movies, reading, travel, and the outdoors. I’m also a runner and a second-degree black belt in karate.
